The another name of Suckerfish is Suckermouth Fish . It is a rapid growing fish based on South America. But at current time it is growing rapidly in South Asia also including Bangladesh, India and others. And it is like a threat for our local fish.

Sucker Fish is mainly a aquarium fish in Southern Asia. Which also can survive in any difficult and dirty environment. Sucker Fish clean its own Aquarium by eating all the dirt available in it’s habitant. So it’s clear that this fish can survive in any dirty and difficult situation.
How did it spread in South Asia ?
A research say’s that the unconsciousness of Aquarium ownership is the main reason for the rapid spread of this fish. Somehow some fish got into the river. And as it’s a rapid growth fish , it started to spread it’s habitant all over the region. And it has became a vital problem of the country such as Bangladesh. The availability of local fish is decreasing at noticeable rate that the local people as well as the fisherman and the Government also is afraid that if that fish grow it’s habitant so rapidly it will be threat for the other fish . The local fish can be extinct as sucker fish love to eat little fish.

Normally human don’t eat this fish much. But it can be a way to earn a lot of money by processing it for the food of animals like Cats and Dogs. Recently it is noticed that some company is getting interested to buy this fish from fisherman. And they are processing it for feeding animals. It can be a great solution. if we start to catch those fish and feed our animals by a good process. But we have to be aware about this fish.
